Zen & The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance & Innovation Quality In The 21st Century
“We have artists with no scientific knowledge and scientists with no artistic knowledge and both with no spiritual sense of gravity at all,
and the result is not just bad, it is ghastly. The time for real re-unification of art and technology is really long overdue.” Robert M. Pirsig
What was Pirsig talking about when he talked about Quality? What is his philosophy of excellence? How does it apply to life in the 21st Century? How does it apply to innovation? What is the link between ZMM and Graves’ work on Human Values? Where is Pirsig’s place in generational history, and why does it matter? Are we heading towards a Meaning Revolution or its opposite?
This 8-hour workshop will answer these and other questions through a pair of half-day online sessions.
Taught in the usual SI style through a combination of short, sharp injections of theory and get-you-thinking breakout exercises, delegates are invited to bring along metaphysical and philosophical challenges and dilemmas to explore during the workshop.
Delegates should ideally have read the book… and possibly also it’s follow-up, Lila.
Dates: 1 and 8 July. Precise timing will depend on time-zones of participants, but likely to be around the middle of the day GMT.
The workshop will be facilitated by Darrell Mann
Price: £108 per person including VAT
(15% discount for the second and subsequent delegates arriving from the same organisation)
Delegates will receive an electronic copy of the workshop slides and exercise templates.
