Ethicall (Innovation Ethics)
“In matters of style, swim with the current. In matters of principle, stand like a rock.”
No-one comes to work to do a bad job. Oftentimes, however, good intentions combined with insufficient knowledge lead to bad outcomes. Almost always the ‘insufficient knowledge’ distils down to situations where one party’s ethical imperatives conflict with those of others. When this happens, all the unresolved centuries-long conflicts in the world clearly tells us there is no such thing as a trade-off or compromise solution. Sadly, for most leaders trade-off and compromise is the only tool in the negotiation toolkit. Ethicall is built on a decade-long research programme investigating contradiction-solving, win-win solutions to moral and ethical conflicts. This workshop reveals for the first time a systematic process for identifying and then resolving ethical conflicts.
This 8-hour workshop will describe the process and the new Contradiction Matrix for ethical conflicts in a pair of half-day online sessions.
Taught in the usual SI style through a combination of short, sharp injections of theory and hands-on breakout exercises, delegates are invited to bring along their own moral and ethical challenges and dilemmas to explore during the workshop.
Dates: 13 and 20 November. Precise timing will depend on time-zones of participants, but likely to be around the middle of the day GMT.
The workshop will be facilitated by Darrell Mann
Price: £108 per person including VAT
(15% discount for the second and subsequent delegates arriving from the same organisation)
Delegates will receive an electronic copy of the workshop slides and exercise templates.
